License and seats
How activation seats work, how to move your license between sites, and what each license state means.
Your subscription includes 2 activation seats. Each site where you activate the license uses one seat, so you can run MakeGangSheet on two WordPress installs at once — for example a live store and a staging site.
Seats and activations
- Activating the license on a site claims one seat.
- The License Status panel on the WooCommerce → Make Gang Sheet screen
shows how many seats are in use, for example
Seats: 1 of 2. - When both seats are in use, activating on a third site is refused with the message “All activation seats are in use.”
Move your license to another site
To move the license from one site to another, deactivate it on the site you’re leaving — this releases its seat so it can be claimed elsewhere.
- On the site you want to free up, go to WooCommerce → Make Gang Sheet.
- Click Deactivate License.
- On the new site, install the plugin and activate the same license key.
License states
The License Status panel shows one of these states:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not activated | No key is active on this site yet. |
| Active | The license is valid and this site holds a seat. The builder works normally. |
| Active (platform unreachable) | The plugin couldn’t reach the platform to re-check the license, so it’s running on its last known-good status for now. It will recover on its own once the connection is back. |
| Invalid | The license can’t be used on this site. The panel shows a reason — see below. |
What the “invalid” reasons mean
When a license is invalid, the plugin shows a short reason. Here’s what each one means and what to do:
- This license has been suspended — Your subscription has been paused, often because of a billing issue. Sort out the billing and the license reactivates. Contact support@makegangsheet.com if you’re not sure why.
- This license has been revoked — The license has been permanently switched off. Get in touch with us to understand why and what your options are.
- This license has expired — The subscription period has ended. Renew to restore access.
- This license key was not found — The key entered doesn’t match one on the platform. Re-check it against the key in your email — it’s easy to copy a stray space or miss a character.
- All activation seats are in use — Both seats are already claimed. Free one on another site, then activate here.
- This site is not activated for this license — This site’s activation is no longer recognized (for example, its seat was released and reused elsewhere). Re-activate the key on this site.
